Mixsoon Bean Essence

The fermented essence that went viral in Seoul, and then everywhere else.

Mixsoon's Bean Essence is unusual: it has four ingredients, all of them fermented plant extracts, and no water. Soybean, barley, pear, and pomegranate ferments gently loosen dead surface cells while they hydrate, so skin looks clearer and more even without the sting of acids. It is thick and slightly sticky out of the bottle, then disappears as you pat. The light, natural scent comes from the ferments themselves.

How to use

1. After toner, warm 2 to 3 drops between your palms.
2. Press onto your face and pat until it turns from tacky to smooth, about a minute.
3. Follow with serum or moisturizer. Start at night, then build to twice a day.
